Your Senior Copycat
I’m a creative who happens to write copy.
A storyteller whose current medium is advertising.
Before I was writing lines during ad breaks, I was writing shows – and parts of movies. In a previous life, I was part of a comedic writing team nominated for a SAFTA (2015) for the sketch show The Bantu Hour.
Across what’s supposed to be my “adult” life, I’ve told jokes everywhere – from comedy clubs and theatres to my favourite stages: glorified taverns where people leave their sensitivity with the bouncer.
I’ve selected a few of my favourite recent pieces.
No long insights. No over-explaining.
Just work that’s memorable, fun, and most importantly – effective.
A celebration of a uniquely South African instinct: telling stories fast, loud, and with flavour – sometimes replacing words with pure sound.

Built on a simple truth:
We name children for what we hope they’ll become.
Reality? Not so much.
I know an Innocent with a record, a Beauty you have to squint at, and a Victor who’s never won a thing.
Bonitas – What Matters Most
We leaned into the tension of medical aid as a grudge purchase.
Because no one wants rewards for hitting step goals…
when their cover doesn’t cover when it actually matters.
NetFlorist – Set Me Free (Valentine’s Film)
Humour is the easiest way to tell hard truths.
And the truth?
For a lot of men, Valentine’s Day is a means to an end.
The work divided opinion – some loved it, some didn’t.
Either way, it made people stop, engage, and share.
And if it doesn’t do that… what are we even doing?
